How to build a stack that fits your stage
A common mistake is buying the whole stack before there is revenue to justify it. Layer tools in as your business grows so each one earns its keep.
- Starting out. Payouts, basic analytics, privacy, and a free link in bio. Keep records from day one.
- Growing steadily. Add scheduling, a messaging tool, and leak monitoring as content and fans accumulate.
- Scaling. Add chatter QA, full accounting, and brand protection. This is often where an agency takes the stack off your plate.
Not sure where to start?
If choosing tools feels like a second job, an agency can run the whole stack for you, or you can use our free intake to get a shortlist of vetted options. Either way, the index stays free for creators.
Tools index FAQ
What software do creators actually need?
Most professional creators run five to eight tools: a payout or accounting layer, analytics, a messaging tool, scheduling, link in bio, and a compliance layer for leak monitoring and age or identity checks. You rarely need everything at once. Start with payouts and analytics, then add as volume grows.
Do I need an agency to use these tools?
No. Every category here can be run solo. Agencies tend to standardize on a stack and run it across a roster, which is part of what their split pays for. If you would rather keep your stack in house, you can still get matched with an agency for marketing or chatting only.
How do you choose which tools to list?
We index by category and describe what each category does and how to evaluate options. We do not rank tools by payment. Where we link to a vendor we may earn an affiliate commission, which is disclosed in the footer, and it never changes what we recommend.
